A brooch – a kingfisher

On the royal-stone.pl website an annual calendar contest with jewelry began. Every month there is inspiration, the prize is a photo on the calendar card. So far, I have watched the submitted works, voted and admired. This year I decided to try my hand.

The first inspiration for January was a kingfisher – a beautiful bird. I found an inspirational photo on the internet, then I chose the material and colors. After long hours of bead embroidery a brooch was made. Although it is not yet as beautiful and perfect as other works submitted for the competition, I am extremely proud of my kingfisher. And maybe I will try my strength in the following months.
